The building has been finished on time by Morgan Sindall, we would like to express heartfelt thanks to them for picking up the project and running it so well to complete on time on Friday 11th March. Kevin Taylor was a brilliant site Manager and worked very well alongside the staff at the preschool, sorting issues and answering questions and the building was handed over to us on Friday 11th March and we have the keys!!! It is amazing to be able to look out of the current home in the village hall to see the new building, completely empty of any kit or toys as yet but ready for us to move into it for the beginning of the summer term! We are in the process of looking at new equipment and we are lucky to have some fundraising money saved up to buy a few items. The pre school committee has over the years been saving for this new building and we are very excited indeed. We plan to move into it over the Easter Holidays and be ready for you all on Wednesday 27th April at 9am!

The Pre-school in Bishops Nympton is about to undergo some changes!!
Devon County Council have been awarded planning permission to build a purpose built Pre-school building, this means we will move out of the Village Hall and into our own brand new premises in collaboration with the school and be able to open for longer hours, providing better childcare support to our community.
The project is due to start in July 2010 with the building work expected to be completed for January 2011.
We will be able to move out of our current Village hall base and into a smart and well designed area that includes our own hard and soft outdoor play areas, grass and tarmac, a sand pit, our own entrance hall, with space for parents to leave buggies and for us to store our bikes etc. We will have a small kitchen and office, two large areas for the children to play, lots of storage for our equipment and a wet area and lots of other fantastic additions to a new space. We will have a disabled car parking space available and the building will have excellent disabled access and facilities.
